@ketchupislife I can agree with some of this...but Cloris Leachman and Eileen Heckart were fine winners. And there was nothing wrong with Beatrice Straight either.

Did he say Tracy Wilson, 1988 Olympic Bronze Medalist and Figure Skating Commentator, coached (or worked with) Yuna? I had heard NOTHING about that in the past if so.

The former Figure Skater was right...Kristi was not fully recovered.

We used to say that he owned the component score and "in between" stuff...if only he had the quad and consistent triple axel. NOW he does...I think he may be on his way to becoming the best ever!

@Cserpentina That is why the Parkette's are among the worst gym I have seen. The stuff about the Parkette's in Jennifer Sey's book "Chalked Up" is something I have no problem believing.

They should have been higher...no doubt. BUT figure skating has always been political and many times based on what a skater is CAPABLE of. Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze were Russian and capable of amazing performances...but they didn't deliver. If the judges had their way they would have won BOTH ...

I guess Jason was destined to skate and be partners with a Japanese girl! They should have been in the top 3 after the short.

@FredBloggs961 I agree! But was Bart mistaken that the SV was 9.6? Because it was a 10 in the previous code and that is a big jump. I'm almost certain it was 9.7 or 9.8.

Why didn't she do a Beillmann in 2010? She could have used the points and the variety to her skating. Also, this is nice music.

Kate's choreography is by Val Kondos (I think it's Kondos-Field now)...most people LOVE it. I think it's different from what you usually see gymnasts do...but not really my style or taste.

Is that Shannon Miller commentating? And I had NO idea that Kozich FX routine was only out of a 9.7?!?

And I believe she was ONLY 13 at this time and pigtails were something that coaches or whomever really wanted to push on gymnasts because at that time it was becoming the "girls" sport and thought to be "cute" for lack of a better word...where as now we are trying to get away from that and go bac...

That was beautiful! I LOVE how you edited her practicing her layback and then immediately cut to her performing it in competition. However, I do think you needed to show a clip of Sarah Hughes and then the medal stand...just to get the full picture of her career.

Did they deduct her for the pause? If they did...they didn't in finals.

I liked both Stroescu and Oana Ban's BB routines better than Alexandra Eremia's routine.

Interesting that Tourischeva didn't wear a warm-up suit when Nellie Kim did.

That is the best BB routine I have seen her do.

@tmc8802 Roza Galieva did one too to win the 1996 European Beam Title. It was gone by Atlanta. And now that Ponor has returned the dismount is back :)

While the French Gymnast is on the UB, the FX music is the same that Brian Orser used at the Olympics in 1988.

I HATE her technique on her Wolf Jump. The legs aren't together and one leg always flies up.
