I have only had opportunity to use the white paper and plastic versions. The plastic seems to be holding up well enough now. I might try the paper version on some CDs that I erase and re-use.

Just checked out the BURN website. Seems it can deal with DVD :DVD-R / DVD-RW / DVD+R / DVD+RW. That's fine. But it doesn't mention DVD-RAM though. Would you happen to have tried it with DVD-RAM? Long shot, I know.

If it doesn't like DVD-RAM then I could be stuck with Toast.
