Urban Farming in Flint, Mich. - An MSU Documentary Project Play

Karate Masters Jacky and Dora King are also Master Gardeners. They see farming as a means of self defense. They also see farming as a way to revitalize Flint. They sell the fruits, vegetables and eggs they harvest. When the Kings grow food, they also grow hope.

Imported from China Play

Imported from China is a half-hour documentary film that follows students from China who are finding a place in a college setting and within the larger U.S. context.  It provides a look at Americans from a Chinese lens and at the building tensions that exist as China and the U.S. determine their global relationship. The film also examines how relationships are nurtured and shaped across cultural boundaries within and beyond the crucible of college life and how MSU responds to this demographic shift.

MSU Sponsors include: Office for International Students and Scholars, MSU Federal Credit Union, Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives, Campus Living Services and Culinary Services

Co-directed and produced by Troy Hale and Geri Alumit Zeldes.
