@FavreianVengeance -- You're right. Injuries matter, and the Celtics, most years, had only one guy who could come off the bench. 82 games is HARD on a body -- especially when you don't get any rest. Each year, only about 5 teams have a real shot at the NBA title. Almost every year, it's the t...

He's a great talent. I loved watching his dad play in the 80's. He'd be unstoppable at any level if he's learn to go left and use his left hand to score. He can hide this weakness with athleticism in high school and college, but he needs to improve in this area.

The difference is that Jimmer created 75% of his own shots in college -- even though he was double and triple teamed. Reddick was almost exclusively a spot-up shooter. Jimmer played on a weaker team (BYU), with little help, while Reddick played on an excellent Duke team -- where...

@MrSlik25: Finally, if we're talking rings here, Bill Russell is the King of Rings. 11 Championships, 12 Championship series appearances -- in 13 years. No one else is even close. As for athleticism, he was the 7th best in the world at the high jump then.
Since picking the Greatest of All Tim...

"Not Jordan's fault?" Was he the Bulls' leader or not?
You don't hear Bird making excuses like that. I can't help but notice that you limit Jordan's competition with Bird to "the late 80s and early 90s," when he played in agony without complaint due to a crippling back...

Finally, if we are not citing team statistics, then tallying championships is out, as well. I've often wondered how the Celtics would have fared if Bird didn't hurt his back -- and could have had both Len Bias AND Reggie Lewis to back him up.
I don't know if you watched Bias play ...
I believe, as he gets used to the NBA, that Jimmer will average over 20 off - and in the right offense - way over 20. He has crazy range & the ability to score driving to the hoop. Time will tell; he's just entered the league (on one of its worst teams).
