Yes The Edge is all about effects and yes he plays the simplest of riffs, that is what makes him who he is. He has one of the most unique and instantly recognisable guitar sounds in the world. However, thats not to say he isn't a good guitarist, he is amazing, a pioneer.

@pepogood I couldn't believe it when I found out that some of the vocals on Achtung Baby were actually The Edge and not Bono, personally I think he has the slightly better voice.

@3uepaz have to disagree about the vocals, even though this version lacks the raw passion and emotion that makes the live version, this is still a great polished version and his vocals sound amazing proving his ability both as a live and recording artist
