David A. Sherbow's perspective and experience in the rock, pop, R&B and hip-hop music business is based on over 30 years of experience. He has seen thousands of live shows and concerts -- from Elvis Presley to Otis Redding, from James Brown to the Rolling Stones and from U2 to Jay-Z. He has managed and booked rock, funk, rap and R&B artists and run independent record companies that have released over 25 albums and have sold between 1500 and 50,000 copies. As an independent record promoter, He has helped break over 100 No. 1 records from 1995 to 2008. From 1995-2004, David was privileged to serve as Def Jam's exclusive independent record promoter and was responsible for helping to break such acts as: Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Ludacris, DMX, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Kanye West, Foxy Brown and Dru Hill along with many others. In addition to Def Jam, David has impacted the careers of such other artists as Missy Elliott, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Fabolous, Brandy, T.I., Outkast and Pharrell.
