This video entitled " MOVE: Confrontation in Philadelphia " was uploaded on August 8th 2008 to acknowledge the 30 year anniversary
of the August 8th 1978 confrontation between Philadelphia Police and the MOVE Organization which culminated in a shoot-out. This video was made by two students at Temple University. Karen Pomer and Jane Mancini spent 2 1/2 years recording and editing this video. This is the original documentary made. There have been variations made of the footage since the original made by both producers. This video has been seen internationally and many clips have been used in other videos about the MOVE organization. This original video won many awards to include a blue ribbon in social issues at the american film festival 1981.
The video quality jitters at times due to age of video and the end is cut short only a
few sentences but the end clip is a repeat of the initial clip in the video of Chuckie Africa.
