MIT-DEMO 08 is the starting point of a new international theatre festival in Malmö. The festival takes place between November 27th and 30th 2008 at different locations in Malmö. There will be no full productions at MIT-DEMO, hence the suffix "demo". A demo can be an open rehearsal, a performance, an installation or whatever the artists find relevant. Certainly though, it will be understood as an artistic response to the topic of the festival: REAL ACTION.

The aim of MIT-DEMO 08 is to create a platform for artistic, inter-national exchange in Malmö, to strengthen the link between theory and practice in order to highlight the working process in theatre and performance art production as well as its questions and problems.

MIT-DEMO 08 is arranged by Institutet, Teatr Weimar and DRC (Dramatic Writing Research Center).
