The Maximum Fighting Championship is Canada 's leading promotion for the world's fastest-growing sport of mixed martial arts.
Since its inception the MFC has been a true success story with tremendous support from the fans as we have sold out venues in Edmonton -- the City of Champions -- where the MFC headquarters are located. The MFC will be bringing its flair to more fans soon with shows planned for U.S. and other destinations in Canada .
The MFC has also drawn unprecedented mainstream media support -- the most of any organization in North America outside of the UFC. Stories about our shows and interviews with our fighters can be found on:
TV: Sportsnet, TSN, The Score, CTV, CBC and Global
Newspapers: The Canadian Press, Edmonton Journal and Edmonton Sun
Radio: The Team 1260, 630 CHED and CBC Radio
Fans across Canada can now see MFC events on pay-per-view airing on Viewer's Choice as well as on digital cable on The Fight Network.
The Maximum Fighting Championship's live audiences, dubbed "the sexiest crowd in the city" by The Edmonton Sun's Graham Hicks, include professional athletes, business leaders and even the Premier of the province. Our demographics have seen a significant jump in the number of women (70-30 male/female split) and adults in the 18-34 category (the group with the highest amount of disposal income) in attendance.
From a fighter's standpoint, the MFC is a top-notch organization which treats its athletes in first-class style. And the fighters who succeed climb the ladder in rapid fashion.
Homegrown talent, Jason "The Athlete" MacDonald, honed his skills in the MFC and has become a top-10 fighter in the UFC. Patrick Cote captured the MFC middleweight title and returned to the UFC by appearing on the Ultimate Fighter reality show. Hawaiian heavyweight Scott Junk earned a fight in the UFC after winning the MFC heavyweight title and former MFC light heavyweight champion Victor Valimaki was signed to fight twice in the UFC.
The MFC -- and its management wing Pro Camp Sports -- will soon always have the best talent possible showcasing their skills to the fans.
Our events and fighters have never received more exposure than now and the spotlight will only get brighter in the near future.
