Haven't seen this for ages, cheers for the upload! I think Unfuwain and Minster Son proved to be better than their performances here would suggest. Unfuwain went on to be 2nd to Mtoto in the King George and was then 4th in the Arc in front of Kahyasi and I don't think Minster Son was beaten again...

Madonna's never been hotter than in this video, I think a lot of people fell in love with her after watching this video, I know I did!!....One of her best songs as well off probably her greatest album Like A Prayer...:-D

Judging on the NH season so far this has the apperance of a vintage renewal. Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Little Josh, Hennessy 1st and 2nd Diamond Harry and Burton Port and King George winner Long Run. Anyone fancy Punchestowns for the Gold Cup??

Gorgeous Girl no doubt, the camera loves her and she has masses of appeal, even back then. But for me only an okay voice, the weakest in Girl's Alouds imo. Nadine, Nicola, Kimberley, Sarah, Cheryl in that order, but having said that she's beautiful to look at!

Clear as day in my opinion that Golden Freeze is there as a spoiler, the opening 3 fences prove that. Scu should've of just let Carvill's Hill race with the main field but after the way in which he romped away with the Welsh National it made sense to be out in front!!

@chrishayden82 Cheers for the reply, I did mean in the UK. They had 3 top 40 hits in the UK with this there highest chart position peaking at No.5. I think they disbanded in 2003 after 4 years, I always felt they had the talent to off achieved more than they did. Just my opinion of course.

I loved Wayward Lad, arguably the best horse never to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup. A real class act, was just never able to quite get up the Cheltenham hill..He was a hell of a horse over 3 miles round Kempton though.

The Flagship was in the veteran stage at this point and some way past his best and Klairon Davis never ran two races the same but all credit to One Man on this day. He was very good indeed and finally got his much deserved Festival win.

You don't see King George's these days with this depth of quality-Wayward Lad, Silver Buck, Little Owl, Night Nurse and Fifty Dollars More..Class!!

In commentary they mention Maori Ventures lad who won the prize for the best turned out horse. I wonder if its the same Carl Llewellyn who won the National on Party Politics and Earth Summit?? Indeed there are some great old favourites, thanks for posting this!

@maximus8992 On all form and ratings they were very closely matched Maximus, so to say Old Vic was a far better horse is pretty wide of the mark I think. They had different strengths, Old Vic was more of a stayer who could maintain a searching gallop, his Derby victories were most impressive. Nas...

A truly wonderful song which always puts a lump in my throat when I listen to it. Saddening that Freddie is not here with us now, but his legacy is his music which we should all be grateful for. R.I.P Freddie, you were the ultimate showman!
