This is only really "good" when your at a lower lvl and your equipment is "out-of-date" if you have Fangs ultmiate weapon (doesn't even have to be maxed) at least 15k hp for each member of your party, and highwind then killing adamantoise isn't really that difficult.

@KelX91 Im fairly sure that he ment for his guide to be followed at end game.. if you do the quests in the order he suggests then you'd have to get all the way to oerba before you even got to this boss (by then i had about 9k hp with fang, not to mention much better gear).
