About Me:
My ONLY mission objective at this stage in my life is, assisting Veteran & Active Duty Warriors.
Returning from life downrange is difficult to say the extreme very least. Then to once again; "go to war" with the maze known as; "The Department of Veterans Affairs", is a painstaking and bitter experience. Which more likely than not; leaves the Warrior and all in his or her life feeling frustrated, betrayed and EXTREMELY ANGRY. Not good America!
WE THE PEOPLE....MUST assist where and if we can. This requires that you put aside your politics, religion and personal feelings regarding war. To make an effort to understand those that have CHOSEN to walk downrange amidst the most unexplainable of all things that the human senses can be assaulted with and by.
If the only thing you can do is say thank you or "Welcome Home" to a returning Warrior; then DO IT! Ask a Vietnam Veteran Warrior how much a LONG OVER DUE; "Welcome home!" is worth. While you are at it, thank him or her as well. Embrace them and let them know that, irregardless of your personal opinions and beliefs, you are grateful. DO NOT be judgmental.
It is the potential battle on the home front that brings the returning Warrior's entire family "downrange." All have lived enough horror, they need NOT face ridicule, accusation and insinuation upon filing a benefit claims package. Or for merely asking to be given what was promised in terms of disability benefits, education, healthcare and home loan guaranties.
I have been witness to vast improvements in the review of claims area. Much more work is required however; and the struggle continues.
I will say this; there has been made recent changes in what is required so far as what the DVA needs as a "stresser" for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (P.T.S.D). Yes, there is a backlog and it still takes time. However; I have seen more "first out" approvals than denials in benefit claims in recent times, than ever before.
The problem now seems to be at the Branch Service level.The United States Army, at present, presents the worse case scenario.
Often a United States Army Warrior that has a LEGITIMATE claim for P.T.S.D., is classified as having a "Personality Disorder" or, absurd as it is, a "Maturity Issue." What? Yes, when leaving the military there is an exit physical. This is where it all begins.
Exiting Warriors maybe classified as having one or BOTH of the above and aforementioned problems. You might ask why does this matter? Well, the Department of Veterans Affairs DOES NOT APPROVE benefits for P.T.S.D if some Medical Officer, derelict in his or her duty, misdiagnoses or intentionally and improperly diagnoses; P.T.S.D. as a "Personality Disorder."
From the cases I have been involved with; I believe more are diagnosed in this manner in a covert or overt (as it is clear in the majority) modus operandi, to lower the number of claims paid for P.T.S.D.
This is the youngest military we have put downrange. Thus; the likelihood of a young Warrior returning seemingly unharmed, but suffering what can be a life time affliction of P.T.S.D., is higher. Trust me America, it would be far better for this country to get these Warriors into treatment and pay out benefits than to let P.T.S.D go untreated.
If you are a Veteran Warrior, the spouse of a Veteran Warrior or a close friend of a Veteran Warrior, and know that your loved one is having difficulties with claims or treatment - MESSAGE ME. I can and will get you the latest information, assist you with the myriad of forms and hopefully direct you to those officials that DO CARE and are willing to help. No, I do not ask for a single cent. I am an Oath Keeper, Veteran Warrior and a 100% Service Connected, Totally & Permanently Disabled American Combat Wounded Veteran. I merely desire to spend what time I have left on this earth, assisting those I love most: MY BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-ARMS.

Almost anything. I do not care for the largest majority of Rap, however; it is good to play whilst downrange. Most of the "insurgents" seem to really be bothered by it!
