Here on my channel I showcase a variety of maps from the rhythm game osu!, and also post occasional videos of some other games. Useful links are at the bottom. :)

I try to get rather good plays of the maps I upload videos of. Although I try to upload a variety of good maps, I don't keep up with all the ranked maps. If there's any particular maps you want to see plays of, just send me a message and I'll see what I can do. Also, if you can manage a better or cleaner play of any particular map I've done, feel free to post it as a video response. Then everyone can get to see a better play and also links them to more uploaders.

Now, about osu! It is a rhythm game for PC that involves clearing beats (or hitcircles), sliders, and spinners in time with music. The game has three modes: the main (osu!) mode, Taiko, and Catch the Beat (CtB). How you clear certain elements (the beats, sliders, and spinners) is slightly different between each mode.

osu!: The main and original mode is played like the Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan games for Nintendo DS. In it, you move your cursor over and click beats, follow sliders, and spin spinners. Just pay attention to my videos and you should get the general idea. :)
Taiko: Played like the Taiko no Tatsujin/Taiko Drum Master games which are available across a number of platforms. There is no use of the cursor and there's more emphasis on how you hit beats. Really, it's a drum game.
CtB: You catch fruit which falls from the top of the screen. Fun, I know. Catch the Beat is a game mode entirely unique to osu!

The goal when you play is to complete each beatmap by clearing stuff to keep your health up. A side goal is to get a high score, which can be done by getting a high combo. You can also select mods to play with, which effect gameplay. Some make it harder and give you a score bonus, while others make it easier for a penalty.

osu! is very focussed on online functionability and includes a slew of online features, including online scoreboards and an online multiplayer mode. There are over 130,000 registered players, so there's always someone around who may want to play, and always someone to talk with in osu!'s built-in chat, which can also be accessed from an external IRC client.

Oh, and the beatmaps mentioned earlier are the patterns of elements for each difficulty of each song. You can create them in the Editor, but know that it takes a lot of work to make a good map. And if you want your map to count for online play, you can submit it to the site where other players and the official Beatmap Approval Team can check it and let you know what could be better. If BATs like it, they'll rank it so it counts online. But please don't submit maps if you're not serious about working hard on it and making any needed changes to make it rankable, because we already get a lot of terrible maps. ):
