About this user

All my life I have been surrounded by music. Started on the recorder at primary school as you do and did everything by ear. Got thrown out of the top recorder group cos I couldnt read music! So I learned to read in a week! Then I wanted something bigger than a recorder and my parents took out a loan and got me a clarinet. I've always been a bit of a show off so started performing/gigging at 10 took my grades, grade 8 @ 14. Semi finalist in young musician of the year. 4 years in the Army studying at Kneller Hall. Played with Vera Lyn on tour in Canada, Candy Dulfer, Derek Hunt Big Band, Ivy Benson, loads of studio work, which I love. Really enjoy teaching all woodwind. But more than anything I just love playing. Especially depping where you have to be on your toes whether you're reading dots or improvising. I'm currently performing in the Maldives and then off to Japan. I wish you all well and enjoy your music!
