My beautiful wife has Neuropsychiatric Lupus SLE. I have been my wifes caregiver for 12 years, since Lupus attacked her central nervous system, permanently disabling her. She is 45 and has had Lupus since she was 15. We have been married for 17 years, 2 weeks before our wedding her Lupus flared, and has been active ever since. Every experimental medication, chemo, you name it she has been there. One day she was working as a Group Manager for an insurance company, the next day she was walking in circles in the kitchen with no clue as to where she was going! That was the last day she worked.

My wife is unconscious right now, asleep for 34 hours! Every 30 minutes I am doing respiration checks to see if she has passed.
