Back in 1998, a a core group of dedicated students started up LunchBox Television, which aired episodes on Emerson College ETV for the duration of their education. Producing edutainment for a neglected age group too old for sesame street and barney, they tackled serious issues, such as death, race issues, bullying, etc., with kid gloves. Using handmade puppets, local actors, neighborhood children, and amateur animation, the producers of LunchBox Television created thematic, variety-style, humorous, educational media.
Not much has survived since then, except a small number of very low-res quicktime videos. Back in the late 90's, Emerson College had some major issues with compression in the labs, so these once vibrant videos have been reduced to pixelation and tinny sound. Sorry...
Should anyone out there have originals please let us know as they would be greatly appreciated...
