Nyx is the Goddess of night. Her sons are Hypnos, the God of sleep, and Thanatos, the God of death. Her daughter, Lyssa, is the Goddess of madness and Morpheus, the God of dreams, is her grandson. Don't have them around for tea.

As you sleep, dream, or die, the ordered comprehension of your mind dissolves and you catch glimpses of things that dwell in places beyond your philosophy. Sometimes you see them when you're awake too, like a shadow in the corner, an old hag in the doorway, perhaps something nice, or perhaps in the stuff these Goblins left on YouTube.
