● HOW DID I START MAKING SIM VIDEOS:

Well I'm a Sims fan, and I had the original sims and the expansions that came with it. Then EA Games made the Sims 2, and I was blown away by the improvements (graphics, effects, sims personalities, etc.). However, I never thought of making Sim videos until January 2007, when a family member sent me one from youtube. I then started searching for other videos, and while watching thoughts came to my head that I can do this too. Moreover, seeing that others really enjoyed watching them motivated me to start. So my first creation was Ciara - Promise. I really want to reshoot that video because I know that I can do it more justice having more experience now. However, I've been making videos from that point on and really enjoying it! Most importantly, it's a great feeling knowing that others are entertained by what you do! I must add that it's not only about the sims, but it's a great way to practice on my cinematography. Doing this also allows me to flex my creativity muscles. Last but not least, major shout outs to those who've supported me. Thanks again!

● HOW TO MAKE A SIMS VIDEO:

Here's how! You'll have to buy the sims 2 first (expansions: University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets and Seasons), and when playing the sims you should have a camera icon on your panel (if you get the game it will show you how the panel looks). Or you can press "V" to start recording and "V" again to stop. Design your sets and then record which clips you want. The recorded files will be saved to a folder (A popup window will open to show you the file's location). Then you'll need a movie maker to arrange and edit your clips. If you have windows, you can use the windows movie maker (or buy another movie maker from Bestbuy or another computer store). Open your movie maker and select the folder with the clips. Then insert the clips into the movie maker and place the clips in any order you wish. You will have a slot where you can insert your music file. Try to sync the clips to the music as best you can. Choose what type of file you want your movie to be saved as (Mpeg, Avi, Mov or Wvm). After the entire movie is saved you can watch and enjoy your video. The sims 2 came with a manual as well, and you can find other movie making tips in there.
