April 2014 LPCiminelli's Making It Happen

46 views 1 week ago
LPCiminelli's Making It Happen is a monthly news show that brings you information about the $1.45 billion Buffalo Public Schools Renovation Program. LPCiminelli is the Program Manager for the renovation program and the producers for the Making It Happen show (MIH). The MIH show is hosted by Tracy Jordan-Cardwell, Public Affairs Manager for LPCiminelli.

We kick off this month with highlights from the 2014 Black Tie for Black History Extravaganza at the Tralf -- the official fundraising event for Juneteenth, Inc. The following seven people were honored and celebrated as Difference Makers in the community: Linda Appleby, Jamil Crews, Nicole Douglas, Jason Maclin, James Morrell, Catherine Roberts, and Bonita Whitlock. Congratulations to everyone! We finish out this month with a project site tour with our TEAM students to the Conventus Medical Office Building project on the corners of Main and High Street. Students received pre-construction information from project manager Mark Wendling and then treated to a tour of the steel structure.

Questions or comments about the BPS Renovation Program or the Making It Happen show can be submitted to our hotline, 716-218-4698, or emailed to community@lpciminelli.com. If you're a Facebook member, be sure to "Like" the LPCiminelli's Making It Happen page to stay informed on opportunities for students and minority and women business enterprises (MWBE), and what's happening in your neighborhood school! Look for us on Twitter and LinkedIn! Together, let's keep Making It Happen!
