On Nov 17, 1990 A GIFT Was given to the world by the name of Marvin E Phillips.He was born and raised by his mother Sharee Gonzales in Wichita, Ks Aka DuB K.
Ever since he was A Lil Nigga he had big dreams of becoming the BEST Recording Artist /Songwriter the world has ever seen or heard.The very first time he ever spit A bar was with his Uncle Dejuan Gonzales.Marvin was only 5 Yrs old at the Time and they were recoding on A tape through the speaker on a cassette player.Mr.Gonzales was one of the few people Marvin has ever been influenced by he was more than an Uncle to him he was like the big Brother he never had. As he grew he began to realize that there was nothing more he wanted to
do with his life besides spending it writing Music. Growing up he admired the fast style of Twista and found himself reciting his verses until he could repeat them with no problem. As rap started to change he began to love the sound he was hearing from the South and took to H-Towns Recording Artist Z- Ro which had became one of his favorite Rappers. The more he practiced on his rhyming skills the better he became. He developed the ability to rap fast or slow and could write verses that seemed to amaze everyone that got the chance to hear the young artist. He was only 12 Yrs Old the first time he stepped foot in an actual studio with his other Uncle Jerry Gonzales. While there he made track after track freestyling having fun and enjoyed every moment of It. Shortly after that Mr. Phillips started to get deep in the streets and got involved with A local Gang and started getting in trouble. He caught his first case at age 13 followed by multiple more which lead him to the Juvenile Detention Facility where he spent 2 Yrs of his teenage life. Although he had became A victim of these adversities he never gave up his dream and continued to write and set his mind free even tho in reality he was behind bars. While incarcerated he began to see that he did not want to continue living his life trapped in the Judicial System so then he became A loner and accepted the fact he was better off alone. After his sentence was completed he was reintegrated with his family and moved in with his Grandmother Brenda Gonzales. While living with her Marvin got in touch with some of his family members who had the same missions and goals as he did. So he began recording with his older Cousins Dontrell Cherry AKA "Treez"and Demontae Young AKA "Bazerck B" and rebirthed himself as GodZGift "Lowk3y"With them he wrote his first hook which was so harmonious he even impressed himself his songwriting skills had became extraordinary. Day and night they were in the studio recording hit after hit. There seemed to be no stopping them and they were yet to see a local artist that was even up to par. A few years later his younger Brother Dion Phillips AKA "Ddaz" was finally home from his teenage struggle and joined them on there quest to the top. Sooner than later "Lowk3y" was introduced 2 Erwin Markham AKA "Glocc 17" then all five of them came together and established themselves as BorNPlay3rz. Ever since that day the well POLISHED group DEDICATED Their BLOOD SWEAT and TEARS to their music and is now currently on the road to SUCCESS!
