Thanks for this, I'm about to buy one of these, and from what you have shown, I think the 300 is the best deal. I don't mind the smaller pixel count screen, or the less zoom X, and the extra $80.00 can go towards buying some essential extras like a good SDHC card, a backup battery, and a tripod.

I've got the same Strat, they are fantastic! If you like Tele's with P90s, try the new Fender "Modern Player" Thinline, it's awesome, I almost bought one, but decided to fix up my mim Standard instead.

I've got one that I use with my CV '50s Strat, and Champion 600(both stock). I love it, it's the only "Mod" for the Champion that actually improves the sound in my opinion.

I WISH it was available in lake placid blue, if it was, I'd definitely get it. LOVE the sound and look of those Lipsticks! Sonic is the blue they offer tho, and it's basically just an off white. I already have a white CV '50s.

@chymist66 if you want sweet vintage tube tone at volumes that won't have the neighbors calling the Fuzz, try a Champion 600, or if you like distortion, a Vox AC4. With the money you'd save over buying the EC, you could buy a really nice Guitar to go with it.

'70s Strats didn't come with Kluson style tuners, they should have put trapezoid tuners stamped with an "S" instead of an "F" on it. @juanlash yup, your neck pickup is mounted to the pickguard, not screwed into the body, just like on a Stratocaster, no need to remove the guard, just use those two screws to adjust it. Many modern Tele's have that mounting style.
