Chapter Twenty Nine: True Love Reveald

Céline had written a long list of acknowledgements, thanking all the people who had inspired her, helped her along. In French she wrote, "To mom, to dad, to my sisters and brothers... I love you with all my heart. "They were followed by the words that finally reveald, the most explicit way, that she was in love with René Angélil. "René, for so may years I've kept our special dream locked away inside of my heart. But now it's getting too powerful to keep this inside of me. So for all these years, let me 'paint the truth, show how I feel, try to make you completely real'... René, you're The Colour Of My Love. L.V

There was much speculation on those two letters L.V. meant. Celine and René never said a word. Las Vegas? NO 55 in Roman numerals? Love & Victory or somthing in french?

"It's our secret. Not that it's anything important. But it stands for somthing"

The night The Colour Of My Love was launched, she announced that she was going to marry René Angéli, her manager. It had become an open secret, but her
confession had an impact. People in the Métropolise were touched. At last, life and her songs were coming together.

She sang seven of the album's fifteen love songs, including "The Colour Of My Love". The song ended with a thunderous ovation, with her in the arms of her man. With the final chords, Angélil stepped onto the stage and walked over to her. A tear slide down her cheek. She wiped it away. Then she took Angélil's chin in her left hand and kissed him on the mouth. Shouting and applause erupted, and the giant screen showed the kiss in close-up. It was almost as if they were married that night at Métropolis in front of 2,500 and viewers from two television networks.
