Where to begin? I am a regular ol' honey bee with big dreams. I live with my family -- I have 20,000 sisters and 18,000 brothers. It's a little crowded, but we make do.
I'd do anything for my Queen. I don't know why really, but I would! She doesn't do much but force us to feed her and make babies with her. And well... she's also my mom!
I love flying and getting to know flowers, but more than anything in the world I love making honey!
Yes, honey. The life giving nectar. I will not lie, I do indulge in tasting my own honey from time to time when the other bees aren't looking. Sometimes I'll even take a dip in it. Like any good chef, I must be sure my creation is up to snuff!
But unfortunately, creating honey comes with its share of dangers. For us bees live in constant fear of being raided by ruthless bears.
What do bears do for the animal kingdom you ask? I know not. Rapacious omnivores that eat fish, flesh, and honey with no regards for the well being of nature. Why do they even need our honey? There are better sources of food everywhere they turn.
Bees only want to be left alone. We do not eat bears, or any other animal. We help give life to the world! And bears seek to destroy all that we create.
I've made it my life goal to slay bears. It is difficult, for they have defenses designed specifically to negate my only weapon: my stinger. And I am not a warrior bee, no... I am merely a worker. But much like David vs Goliath, it will not deter me from trying and succeeding where no other bee possibly could!
The first bear on my hit list is the notorious Pooh Bear. This
bear has slain thousands of my clansmen (including our larvae!) and pillaged their life's work. This I promise to you, fellow bee, I will eat Pooh. Nay, I will devour Pooh! And then I will smear Pooh all over my colony's beehive! To warn all approaching bears: you may take our honey; you may take our lives and beehives; but you will never take back your Pooh!
