Discovery Channel did a documentary on Costa Concordia sinking, in which they compared it to the Titanic . There were some similarities and if the ship had drifted further into sea in deeper waters, it could have a 21st Century "Titanic" disaster.

Thank you all for the support on the channel! Unfortunately, I got dinged for copyright infringement on that most recent Titanic documentary with Bill Paxton in it so not only do I have a copyright infringement on my record now, but because of it I lost the ability to post future videos in their full length, so I'll have to go back to the 15-minute clip set up, which I hate. Oh well. Just have to be more careful. Not sure what will happen with all this new Titanic stuff due out in April that I was hoping to post. Guess I'll just see what I can get away with without getting the channel shut down! lol Thanks again all! I love reading your comments!

I love ships. It's a shame that the golden era of crossing the ocean by ship is all gone. I did learn about one thing about the transmission set up in the ship engine. The side propellers worked on both the forward and reverse speeds. But the center one worked only on the forward speed and that's all. In order to make a good turn, you had to turn the center propeller off and make your turn. Because with the center propeller running, it only made the rudder hard to turn. Me and my father talk ships every time I go to Branson and visit the Titanic museum.
