We need to be more worried about employing people than raising wages because raising a minimum wage isn't going to shift people up the social scale. Employment will. Just look back on Reagan. When he lowered the minimum wage and cut taxes, more people were hired and poverty actually dropped as a result.

Look, borrowing and spending hurts the economy and creates debt, but back in the 80s when Paul Volcker was running the Fed, the recovery required us to contract the money supply to bring down inflation at the expense of job growth, basically creating an artificial recession, and then he expanded the money supply when inflation was dead and when Reagan cut taxes and boom, economic recovery. Sure, he created a lot of debt in the process, but it was necessary to spark the growth.

I don't think the govt has the manpower or time or motive to pay much attention to average internet users. I for one have nothing to hide, so I'm not particularly worried. It's the people who look up how to build IEDs in their basement that need to be afraid.

Well not every one of those appliances is 100% efficient. There is a science to making the listed appliances- a series of tests to achieve the desired performance, but if we were to accept that a fact were achieved from the making of those appliances, there wouldn't be any improvement on the appliance's efficiency. The replacement or improvement of a fact is simply a violation of its definition. Only theories can be replaced or enhanced.

The Bush years were great up until the Dems took control of Congress in 2007 and started dishing out cheap mortgages and TARPA, eventually causing the housing market to burst. The recession in '08-'09 had nothing to do with taxes, and it ended before Obama could even pass any of his policies. Sure, cutting regulations might help, but our economy isn't going anywhere until we reform our expensive entitlement programs and lower the corporate tax by at least 5%.

I think the culture behind porn needs to change. In Japan, pornstars are idolized, and their girls are beautiful (shame it's all censored). In America, most pornstars aren't as attractive as the girls you would meet everywhere else, because in America, the pornstar is shunned.

I don't necessarily have a problem with homosexuality, but what pisses me off is most of the people who defend issues like gay marriage aren't even gay. I mean, who's worse? The guy who is honest with his views on homosexuality or the people who use homosexuality to glorify themselves in a political argument?

Isn't "wealth" basically a title of ownership? Can one gain wealth simply when his business grows, when the value of his investments go up, when the value of his property goes up? I was under the impression that wealth means more than just having money, and that wealth inequality isn't so much a bad thing so long as the people at the top are spending their money and providing jobs and services to gain that wealth.

I bought a 160G iPod Classic expecting it to last me a long time. Now, after 3 years of taking extremely good care of it, the Hard Drive dies, it is stuck on restore mode, and I need to spend $135 to send it to an apple store to see if they can repair it.

This product is NOT worth $250 plus the extra repair costs. I'm not going to be part of this marketing game anymore. Done with Apple.

I've taken great care of my iPod, and only after 3 years, it started freezing up my computer. Naturally, I updated iTunes and began restoring it, but now iTunes can't even restore it due to some "unknown error 1430". Apparently, from what I've read, it is a problem with the iPod's Hard drive, and paying $135 to ship it to an apple store to see if they can repair it is just ridiculous.

This iPod was not worth the price I paid for it, and I expected it to last me longer. I am done with apple.

Drones are cheaper and you don't have to risk your own life to use one. You all wanted defense cuts and you all wanted to stop sending our troops in to die. I'm no fan of armed drones in the US but using drones in the middle east is very cost-effective, and there is a strong private market potential for surveillance drones in the US. Can you imagine how much money our law enforcement would save with this kind of technology?

What did you buffoons expect? The TARP bailout was a DEMOCRAT bill. Dems: 172 for, 62 against vs Reps: 91 for, 108 against. EVEN OBAMA voted for it, and the only reason Bush signed it was because it was the only option that was allowed to pass through the Democrat controlled Congress.

You get what you vote for. The banks are not responsible for accepting govt handouts. It is the people who put these naive politicians into office who are to blame, and that's the cold hard truth.
