They lie on the lumen rating I learn that lesson a long time ago. Cree xpg or cree xml are the only ones that will go beyond 300 lumens. If they have them in the flashlight they will write it somewhere on the package or the flashlight.

@pinkunday Who says that you can't use rechargeables I use rechargeables all the time. There is no way I would buy new batteries every two days. They work fine with rechageables their output is more constant too..

Get one of the new coast lights. They have prism reflectors they throw very well. You can test it by puting any magnifying glass in front of your TK40. It will focus all the spill into throw and you'll be able to see that deer.

I'm thinking of getting this camera because of the dedicated sensor. I love my nex vg10 but moire patterns makes so shoots very difficult. I guess the fs 100 should also have more latitude than the vg10.

Seems like that lenser should be compared with the tk45 rather than the tk70. Tk70 has 2200 lumens compared with lensers 1070. Can you compare the tk45 with the lenser x21. I dont know which to buy..

Are you comparing a 820 lumen flashlight to a 225 lumen lenser? The X21 is a better light to compare it with.

The only thing I really like is the swiveling lcd screen. Isn't higher resolution 16megapixels equal to less dynamic range?? In a video camera I think they should go the other way..

That's a great video!! It really shows how is not all about the lumen output but also about how it is used. I feel the same with my new coast hp7 is supposed to be 207 lumens but it seems way brighter then my other 200 lumen flashlights. Do you have any other flashlights to compare your focus...

I love the new Bullseye pattern it is more usefull than the old lenser. It was like looking through a keyhole with the old one. This new beam pattern is perfect in my opinion and I think the warmer color of the light is a plus. The old lenser was very blue the new one is white.

Yeah this new line is the best I have an hp7 and I'm really waiting for the hp14. Wish there were more videos out there but I guess I have to wait.

Did you try the 180 lightstar. Is this 220 really brighter then the 180. Since they both use 2aa's I figure they were the same on high setting.

Hi, Do you have any idea if sony will add a firmware update in the future so that alpha lenses can work with autofocus and better aperture control? It seems like the alpha lenses work well for pictures but not so good for video.
