Welcome to Loras College Track and Field's "Official" Page. Here you will find weekly updates of the Loras' 2008-2009 season.
Loras is one of the elite NCAA DIII Programs in the country. Recent successes include a 5th place women's finish at the 2007 outdoor national meet; a 8th place finish for the men at the 2008 Indoor National Meet.

Head Coach::: Bob Schultz:::
4th year as Head Track and Cross Country Coach. Schultz previously coached at Lewis University (An NCAA DII College) where he led his team to 4 conference championships. Coach Schultz has worked with multiple National Champions and All-Americans; including 4th place National XC finisher Ben Grant and the Loras College DMR.

Throws Coach:::Tommy Kult:::
12th season as the Loras throws coach. Coach Kult was a 5 time National Qualifier and a 1996 DIII All-American at Loras. While coaching, he has worked with over 40 Iowa Conference Champions, 90 National Qualifiers, 23 All-Americans, and 2 National Champions. In addition, the Loras Throws Team has been ranked in the top 10 in the Nation for the past 6 years.

Sprints Coach::: Matt Jones:::
Matt is a 2005 graduate of Loras College where he was a two time All-American (4x400 and DMR). This is Jone's third season coaching the sprinting events; in just his first year, Jones coached his first All-American in the 100M Dash, had three national qualifying relays, 2 individual national qualifiers, and a school record fall (Indoor 4x400).

Horizontal Jumps and Hurdles:::Geoff Kaiser:::

2007 graduate of Loras College where he was a 10 time All-American (Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x400, and 400IH). 2007 National Long Jump Champion. Holds or is a part of 6 school record performances. In addition, Kaiser was a 23 time All-Conference performer, was a three time Athlete of the Year (Central Region), and the 2007 Indoor Conference MVP. Coach Kaiser was Loras' team captain for the past three years. In his first year as coach, he helped two athletes qualify for the national meet that had previously never gone.
