Blacky, the reason that atheists argue with you is that, above all else, we value truth over anything else. In all aspects of our lives. Some people value other things over truth. Those people are usually religious. See, I apply the same standards of truth determination to everything. Religious claims are no exceptions. You and others like you make an exception for religion because to you, the value of wishful thinking and the empty promises religion offers is more important to you.

I'm a skeptic when it comes to most everything that is presented to me as fact. Not just religion. If I see a claim and I am interested enough in it, I don't accept that claim on face value. I investigate, compare opinions and get the consensus of experts in whatever field that claim involves.
