@RandomElderScrollFan u have to buy the jumpdrive device, and need reputation to the faction, and the jumpdrive is not accurate while u reach the destination, expecially if u use it in the same sector. Also to use the jumpdrive u need to discover the sectors before u can jump from one to another....

....so better keep enemy away (whit long "stick") and hit them in the sametime.
