Recently(august 2011) i discovered that im an artwork furry, at the beginning i found that weird, but interesting, so i joined the furry fandom and i liked, they are very receptive. And i tell you guys, those stereotypes about furries are totally wrong.
The lession here is:
Sometimes to understand them, you have to be one of them, or simply do a good research...
