Tower Theatre, such a great venue.

Brents vocals were amazingly. terribly under-appreciated. his backup (and lead) vocals provided a whole new depth to the music during his tenure, not unlike Pigpen, but I personally think Brent was more impactful.

@Steezeandmac --- this Eyes version is on "Without a Net", pretty good, rare album. features a heavy dose of Brent backup vocals and an Althea where Brent is very prominent.

YES!!! I was tripping so hard, I was envisioning seeing musical notes being spit out from JK's guitar and being projected onto a wall up in the air as he was slaying this solo. like he was painting a picture with his guitar. it was unreal.

this was definitely a highlight. energy in there was amazing, unforgettable night. grate band, grate show!

agreed 100%. the soul and energy Brent put into his performances was unrivaled. his last Blow Away is amazing. I really wish I was into the Dead when I was 9, I would have been there! lol

wow. God bless him, but Jerry is falling apart here. Its such a damn shame , I really think Brent's death threw him into the downward spiral that ended in his death. His playing was REALLY affected during the last few years, and obviously so was the band.

dead 3 days later. crazy. Brent was the man. He really brought something to the band that they really hadn't had since Pigpen, but i like him better than Pig anyway. dude could really play. they were never really the same after he died either. Love him.
