Recent studies have shown that despite awareness campaigns discrimination and prejudice against people with mental illness has not changed that much in the last 10 years. Experts say that efforts to raise awareness need to focus more on the people living with mental illness rather than the illness it's self. The mental illness awareness video campaign on You Tube will do just that. If you have mental illness you can submit a video to the LivingWithMI channel sharing your experience, your hope and what you think is important for the world to know about MI. Please submit videos no longer than 10 minutes. You can upload them to http://www.megaupload.com/ and email Dani Z the link: thedanizblog@gmail.com . I want videos that focus more on recovery or the things you have accomplished despite your illness. You can also talk about the things you deal with day to day. I'm really excited about this project and I am looking forward to your submissions.
