@QBFOJustin I think it might have something to do with the cats sent being on the fawn. As well if you watch the fawn isn't threatened by the cats presence and as soon as it sees the dog it drops to the ground. And then the doe charges.

Yes, in the wild orcas would NEVER leave their family pods and live with their mothers for their whole lives. But places like seaworld break these family ties all the time.
