Formed at the start of the 21st century, Lithiq is a Boston-based new music record label committed to delivering great modern genre-busting improvisational and experimental rock, jazz, and pop hybrids. Lithiq features the following artists.
Enuma Elish: Formed in 1999, Enuma Elish was born of a vision to create a cohesive synthesis of world music, free jazz, and electronica. They are distinguished from most live/electronic hybrids by their use of loops created from original field recordings, acoustic percussion, ethnic strings and winds, in addition to conventional electronic instruments.
Sky Saw: Sky Saw is an instrumental duo comprised of zither, samples, and electronics and drums. Sky Saw merges psychedelic shred rock with electronica, trance, and free improv, pushing each into fresh new realms.
SpiralZero: SpiralZero is the collaboration between a sitar player/touch guitar synthesist/ electronics wizard and drums. By combining beat oriented electronic soundscapes, the latest digital processing and looping technology and explosive real time improvisation, SpiralZero have created a sound world that is both accessible and innovative.
