Saying that these photos of mass starvation and death were faked, and titling this without any quotation marks or comment is not even funny. And none of it had the remotest connection to Charles Darwin, as some Creationists are claiming.

Please support Independent music and BUY my cheap downloads from CDbaby, iTunes or Amazon! It takes a lot of time to write and arrange songs, and a lot of money to make good recordings. Most musicians are poor. What can you chip in?There are 9 songs finalized for sale and found on my "main" CDbaby.com page and other sites, and 1 for sale on another page, so far. If everybody who's listening bought just one 99-cent download, I could record a lot more music.

******************************************
Lisa Breslin is a mostly pop-rock/soft-rock songwriter and singer, blues-rock harmonica player, wannabe recording producer and rock band arranger, wandering loose in Boston without a contract or straitjacket. Put a stop to this now: Contact Lisa c/o www.NewburyMedia.com at 1-617-267-4095 (USA), or info@LisaBreslin.com. Thanks.
Most of these songs are original, and most are pop-rock or blues-rock (and an occasional country-pop tune) with a female vocal. In no particular order:
* "So Make Believe" (by J. Dooling and me) and "10 / 16" (yes, Ten/Sixteen--it's a date; song by me) are medium pop-rock/alt.-rock.
* "Hardheaded Woman" (by me) is a slower pop-rock/ alt.-rock piece about life and love out of sync. There's a fake ending that allows DJs to shorten the song if necessary.
* "DreamWalking," "Someday" (both by me) and "Back to You" (by John Mayer and me) are mellow pop-rock/soft-rock/pop-country.
* "Funky Vamp" is a blues-rock instrumental jam (rearranged by me) with layers of "harp" and guitar, based on Sheryl Crow's/Bill Bottrell's "Killer Life" (picture a bar scene).
* "Wanderer" (by me) is a straight-up Chicago-style blues shuffle. Someday we'll do the vocal over--we weren't supposed to keep this except as a reference.
* "Freaky Side" (by Tom Mayo) is hard rock that sounds like the band Tool, with male lead vocal and metal guitar by Tom Mayo, and electrified harmonica again by yours truly.
* "Urban Appalachian" (by me) is a humorous country-bluegrassy piece (more harmonica), about poverty (mine) in America, which sounds like funny chase scene music. (Check out our silly video on YouTube under LisaBandFriends.)
* For those classic rock fans, we have a cover of Bad Company's (Mick Ralphs') eternally popular "Ready for Love" with--you guessed it--me on the usual amplified diatonic harmonica.
Most songs feature me, Lisa Breslin, on harmonica and vocals and Tom Yates on guitar, with some songs featuring Nate Christy on guitar. The only song with a male lead vocal is Tom Mayo's "Freaky Side."
Some say my alto/mezzo-soprano voice resembles the voice of Shania Twain, Sarah McLachlan, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Pat Benatar or Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs.
Two of my harmonica heroes are the late Marion "Little Walter" Jacobs, and the very much alive "Magic Dick" Salwitz of Boston's own J. Geils Band.
My songwriting is most like the writing of John Mayer, John Hiatt, Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam), or Paul Simon. My blues-rock is generally not '50s-style swing or acoustic, but more like the music of Buddy Guy.
If you need programming info, these are mostly medium-tempo songs under 5 minutes long. More programming info is available on request.
For background on any of these songs, please click on the song titles on the music page at www.LisaBreslin.com (about 65-70,000 hits a year--thank you all).
Please support my independent music, and buy my newly available song downloads at www.CDbaby.com/LisaBreslin; or at the Apple.com/iTunes Music Store by searching Lisa Breslin there; or find Lisa Breslin on Amazon.com.
Thank you very much.
Thanks, YukSchmuck! Please invite your friends to listen to/watch the video and buy the song download, so we can afford to make more recordings!
