'Lo there dudes and dudettes. My name's Liam Michael Davies; I was born on the 31st January 1993, and I'm from the Northeast of England. Like anyone, I'm a lover of music, a lover of the arts, films, books, you name it. But in my musical endeavours, I'm a staunch heavy and death metal enthusiast; metal is my passion, my driving inspiration in life, and no goal will ever supplant that. I'm also into power metal, black metal, folk metal (as well as actual folk music) alternrock, classical, flamenco and blues.. At some point I'd like to form a band. (I play electric and acoustic guitar, which I've been doing on and off four about 4 years (See what I did there? Four? For? ..Gtfo. =( ); I use a BC Rich Mockingbird Bronze series, Yamaha Apex 500 electro-acoustic, (the same used by Bill Bailey :L) and an Admira Avila classical guitar) Some of my favourite bands include (old) Cryptopsy, Decapitated, Arsis, the Mars Volta, Black Sabbath, Sonata Arctica and Ulver. My favourite band of all time is Opeth. (Mikael Åkerfeldt is the epitome of brutality \m/) One of my latest favourites is the rock bamd "Clutch".
Literature-wise, I enjoy that which is avant-garde, controversial, philosophical or just plain thrilling. One of my favourite authors is Clive Cussler. As you can probably tell, I love language, and will most likely study linguistics at university. I am fascinated by the Scandinavian languages (all the metal comes from there \m/) and also speak a little Finnish and a good bit of German (having studied German for five years).
