After earning 2 Platinum and 3 Gold records as bassist/accordionist/vocalist with Celtic/Roots group Spirit of the West Linda resumed her solo career and released the following three recordings to rave worldwide reviews: Flying Jenny, producer Colin Linden (Bruce Cockburn, Emmy Lou Harris), Cryin' Out Loud, producer Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams, Mary Gauthier) and Carve It To The Heart producers Linda McRae and Marc L'Esperance (Po' Girl, Be Good Tanyas, Headwater).

Rough Edges & Ragged Hearts, Linda's highly anticipated fourth solo recording, will be released on Mother's Day 2012 and will help further reinforce her reputation as a quality songwriter. Featured performers include Doug Cox, Gurf Morlix, Ray Bonneville, and Samantha Parton (Be Good Tanyas).

Linda's reputation is steadily gaining momentum and in 2008 her musical journey took her to Nashville where her love of traditional roots music lead to studies in clawhammer banjo with leading authority Brad Leftwich and Appalachian vocal styles with Ginny Hawker and Tracy Schwarz (New Lost City Ramblers). She has also studied acoustic fingerstyle guitar with Juno winner Ken Hamm.

Since moving to Nashville she has been invited to perform at the hallowed Carter Family Fold, Hiltons, VA, The Hank Williams Museum's New Year's Celebration, Montgomery, AL, The Barbican Theatre, London, UK and The Maverick Festival (UK's foremost Americana festival). She has also been invited to give a concert and subsequent workshops at California's Folsom Prison in October 2011.

Linda has recorded and performed with many musical luminaries including Pete Seeger, Ginny Hawker & Tracy Schwarz, Bruce Cockburn, Neko Case, and Blue Rodeo and continues to perform 150-200 dates per year. She also writes a column for BC Musician's Magazine entitled "This Winding Road" and is endorsed by Wyres Strings and EnRoute Music.

Performing on clawhammer banjo, acoustic guitar, accordion and porchboard stompbox bass Linda will be showcasing her new recording throughout 2012.
