A serious video on a serious subject. Here I encourage the investment of your time under ROL as I feel someday it will be gone. We have grown accustomed to having the Rule of Law in our societies. This ROL is the very foundation of our lives and allows us to got to work, make money, use money, have fun, make memories, and stay safe. We should all support ROL. That's because the loss of ROL has some very serious implications. The occurrence of WROL ("Without the Rule of Law"), will probably bring widespread crime, destruction, violence, suffering, and death. I do not purport to know the timeframe or cause of WROL but I think we may see it in our lifetimes. WROL can happen on various graduations or levels but in its reference I usually talk of worst case: the complete loss of the societal engine. It could be brought on by the cessation of public services and commodities (unavailable food, gas or electricity), caused by natural disaster, economic collapse, or war, The aftermaths of the 1992 Rodney King Riots and 2005 Hurricane Katrina gave us insights of what to expect. And these were just localized events but expect much worse if WROL is more widespread (which I think it will be), Evil elements in our society at mostly kept in check by our designated sheep dogs, the law enforcement entities with our cities. They are a critical part of ROL. However in WROL expect most emergency services to be overwhelmed, scattered, or just non-functional. With their loss evil will surge and even good people will do bad things in desperate circumstances. It will be up to you to provide for your own safety and that of your neighborhood. Most people, softened by modern life, will be unable to mentally or materially cope with the full advent of WROL and will simply be shocked into inaction. That's because to them it is so unthinkable to lose their cell phone, their TV, and other conveniences, never mind food, clothing, sanitation, and medical care. As such they have made no preparations, mental or otherwise, to become independent, tough, and ready for WROL. The self-reliant lessons of our pioneer ancestors have been foolishly forgotten and discarded. These life lessons will be re-learned and adopted in order to survive in WROL. Expect the resilience of the village as well: neighborhoods and good people will always band together to barter, work share, and make living easier. This is also good. Some people, concerned over the loss of our freedoms (which seems to be accelerating), might want to launch into WROL to fix our political system that might reach serious levels of corruptness and totalitarianism. I can't say this will never be necessary but I advocate extreme caution in such thinking while maintaining a mature perspective on the issue of consequences. Defense of the Constitution lies first in the political process. Be tireless in your political efforts to defend it and freedom and people who fail in THIS obligation have no right to complaint or adopt recourse. Furthermore, I think WROL will happen on its own, an outgrowth of events that will drive the process... the apple will fall from the tree under its own weight. So until that time make reasonable preparations to be self-reliant and more capable under WROL. This is not paranoid, weird, or wishing for calamity... it's smart. Also in all situations I advocate being an agent of good and helping others as much as possible. This goodness might be in short supply under WROL. Finally, make the most of your time in ROL because the day will probably come when you wish you had.

You can thank the NRA that we continue to be a "Nation of Riflemen." Granted this is an ideal lost on many if not most, but in most states this national and personal security asset is alive and well...and protected by the NRA. Many reasons are given by usually reasonable people why they can't or won't join and participate in the organization. I address a few of them here along with my answer to each. The "protectionist" forces arrayed against the American gun owner are legion and very well financed. And yet it usually falls on the relatively small shoulders of the NRA to do all the battling as they have for years, many examples given. There are other excellent pro-rights organizations that do good work but none have the clout and effectiveness of the NRA and I have personally seen them absent in my own local battles to preserve gun rights. Meanwhile the NRA rolled into town and duked it out and saved freedom. It takes commitment, courage, and lots of money to wage and win the battles in preserving and RESTORING the American right to bear arms. It is an individual right, God-given and yet many state and federal laws and statutes trample it every year. Through its NRA/ILA arm, the organization works tirelessly to overturn and prevent draconian laws that serve to limit, register, track, pursue, harass, and ultimately disarm the law abiding gun owner. All freedom lovers, whether here or abroad should be found within the ranks of the NRA. If you are a gun owner help pull your weight, don't sweat your small disagreements with NRA policy, and stand up an be counted. Without the NRA, harassment, licensing, and outright banning of all gun types would probably be the reality of the US gun owner long ago. Being a Nation of Riflemen is costly and it takes patriots to keep it a reality.////////////////////////// NRA YouTube page at: http://www.youtub... ; Join NRA at: http://membership... for ONLY $25 annually (Regular price is $35)

Moving so fast in TNP, I often forget to post some of the 100s of hours of footage I have. Sometimes the original plans for the videos change and it's forgotten. But not this one. Here my son TacticalDoodle comes back into TNP in October 2011. This was his first RunNGun in years and this Nutnfancy Basic Edit (BEdit) vid shows him knocking the rust off. You might find some humor as he tries to bolt release the Sig 522 like an AR-15, his habit pattern. The Sig 522 remains one of my favorite Tactical .22s as it has great ergos, accuracy, and reliability. It's a cost effective platform for getting ready for more costly centerfire drills. Doodle gives us some good laughs as usual and brings it together fast in this Eat Lead Drill. A phenom I guess. Also the Kimber .22 1911 conversion makes an appearance on a S&W Scandium frame but chokes with Federal Bulk ammo. Another slice of life TNP video; if it gets good views I'll post more.

If you can master the trigger, this is a great combat worthy handgun. The Sig P250 flexes into multiple POUs and even surprises us as a "mailing gun" due to its modular component break down (thought of by a TNPr). It is a perfect choice as a "wife gun," combat sidearm, home defense option, and in its smallest sub-compact form, as a carry pistol. In the form the slide has been reduced to 1.1". And while Sig touts the caliber interchange on the P250 and it's worth touting, I found it to be most advantageous in saving money! Practice in 9mm and then carry in your other favorite caliber if you want: .357 Sig, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP (heavily tested here). Weight on these guns is decent. The full sized version was the test bed here, weighing in at 31 oz for the .45 ACP and 29 oz for the 9mm configuration. The sight radius is longer than our beloved Sig P226. In this updated testing and review on the type, I found the Gen 2 P250 balance and ergos to be almost perfect: grip shape, stippling, slide serrations, night sights (included), mag release, undercut and squared trigger guard (rounded in subcompact version), clean and simple controls, and even the trigger. Yes, as I noted in my 2009 review, its still a DAO affair and you gotta' be a good marksman to deal with that. But I found it does not handicap the design. In my extensive testing of the .45 ACP and 9mm version, the P250 shoots fast enough and with astounding accuracy (shown). From standing position at 15 yds I achieved one hole groups with Remington Golden Saber 9mm 124 gr +Ps (great defensive load btw). Reliability with all types of ammo, including steel crap, was 100%. Take down and cleaning is Sig simplicity in itself (with the 9mm version having a stiff takedown lever, no big deal). Value is much improved over 2009 pricing, with this model being secured as a Sig Certified Pre-Owned gun by TNP for only $315. This is astounding quality, accuracy, and reliability at that price. The caliber interchange set ups will cost about the same direct from Sig but again provide flexibility and cost savings in the long run. The Sig P250 therefore is a trustworthy and confidence enhancing sidearm that you can count on. I called my 2009 P250 vid "Accuracy on the Double." This thorough testing has substantiated that title and vaulted the Sig P250 into the rarified company of Hall of Fame handguns here in TNP.///////////////////////////Likability Scale: 10 out of 10 at given pricing levels, full size models///////////////////////////Music licensed from J.
