Favorite of Reagan against Medicare. LOL. Yes, Medicare passed; and we ended up with doctor slavery. Oddly enough, healthcare opponents are now trying to scare seniors by saying this will mess up their Medicare. The AMA opposed Medicare; however, it backs this reform. Hmm... But I want to be a good slave on your corporate plantation.

Until another political party comes into power, nothing is going to get better. We keep going back in forth between the lesser of two evils. Sure, Obama was change, but where it has been change for the better in some areas we've gone downhill in many others. Inform and empower yourself and the people around you and continue the pursuit of happiness.

I understand and am sympathetic to those who are born into less fortunate circumstances. I believe it is our responsibility as a nation to help build everyone up and make sure there are less and less "unfortunate circumstances" for our people. But people should not be allowed to freely leech off of that good faith support for their entire lives without ever contributing to the good of the nation or attempting to better themselves through employment and education. Nor should the government have the power to force any person to contribute their hard earned money to such a system. I think that people as a whole will do what's right when left to make informed, rational decisions, and I take at as a huge insult for government to tell me that I'm not able enough to decide what's best for me.

I do not want to disband or overthrow our government. I want to change it for the better so that the generations following mine aren't left with the same mess that our parents and grandparents have left us with. This country was built by people who wanted to get away from unfair and illegal taxation, people who wanted to be allowed to make their own decisions as to what was best for their families and practice their own religious beliefs. Yet we have blindly allowed the past century's administrations to disrespect and disobey the U.S. Constitution, which is a sacred document that, in many respects, has only become a display in a case in Washington and not the highest law of the land.
