Germail L. Stubbs (born March 18, 1992), better known by his stage name Lil Mail, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was raised on the west side of Birmingham, AL. From a young age he possessed talents in both sports and music, however during high school he focused primarily on his musical abilities, which included writing lyrics and rapping. Songwriting was a way to escape reality from the heartbreak that he endured as a result of his mother having 2 raise him his brother and his 2 sisters by her self', "It seemed like as long I was writing and putting my feelings into my lyrics, I was able to ease my pain" he says. With knowledge of his budding talent his older cousin Flute, who was the families hustler, encouraged Lil Mail to continue writing and pursue a musical career. As Lil Mail's music had began to pick up locally in Birmingham he continues to persue his dream and say that nothing can get in the way ...
