The only thing is, who is the real talent here? Her voice is terrific, no doubt about that - but lets not give her credit for great songs that a bunch of other people are creating for her...if that's the case, which it seems...

Yes, great song. My 2nd favorite after "Hamburg, Noon". The key with this band is indeed Elizabeth Powell, and she's not just a voice - she's the lead guitarist and (I think) only songwriter. Tori is a bit, um, hmmm, something - in being a bit dismissive of the comparison to Kate... I think there is a HUGE resemblance. When I listen to either one I often hear the other so strongly its a bit spooky. Mind you, Kate came first... :-)

I hear Tori Amos here. But that is to say, Tori Amos sounds like this. Kate came first - so many followed her. And she was bringing it when she was blody 18 years old. She really innovated - and still does - she is a very courageous woman.
