The "Krypt Monster" is actually the "Flesh Pit's Mutant." If you fight in the flesh pits, you see her in the far left, and sometimes she moves. I imagine she escaped and ran around the Krypt. If you get her artwork you will see that she is clearly female, in a nasty way.
