Flip Wilson - George Carlin Funny News 1 of 3

Flip Wilson & George Carlin Funny News Clips. Classic comedy skits. Hippy Dippy

    LetsRideMen LetsRideMen commented:

I was in high school at this time, and always carefully scanned the listings to make sure I never missed George Carlin guest starring on any show. I remember being in school the day of the program, all excited about George being on that evening. I remember these Flip Wilson appearances well.

When I was in college about this time, there was a basketball player named James Dean. When he would score, the PA announcer would say his name: "James Dean..." and the crowd would then emulate the voice in this song that comes in: "Jaaames Dean...." This song always brings back that funny memory.

Tom Clay - What the World Needs Now

    Sweet tune from 1973

    LetsRideMen LetsRideMen commented:

I had forgotten about this until today, when an oldies station was playing a Casey Kasem top 40 countdown from 1971, and this came on, and it all came back. I was in high school in '71, and the radio station that played this, and where Tom Clay was a DJ, mailed it out for free. I remember I calle...

    Emmaline Henry tribute

A tribute to to Emmaline Henry who played Amanda bellows on I dream of Jeannie.

    LetsRideMen LetsRideMen commented:

I had forgotten about this lady till I stumbled onto this tribute. Now I remember how attractive and funny she was. I read DVDs are coming soon from the short-lived but hilarious "I'm Dickens He's Fenster." She was wonderful in that, and I'm eager to revisit it. How sad she died so young.

    Governor Brown Halts Budget Negotiations

Governor Jerry Brown discusses his decision to halt budget negotiations.

Republicans say make college unaffordable, close the state parks, cut aid to the vulnerable, needy, aged, blind, disabled, etc, etc. Why? To subsidize tax cuts for the rich! Republicans don't care about regular working people. They only care about making the rich richer. If you know what's good f...
