if you remap control group 0 to W its actually very good to hotkey your hatch to 0

By default it is control f5-f6-f7 etc. But most people change the hotkeys to f1-f4.

So you can click control f1 and after that when you click f1 you go back to that region.

It was not a backstab. It was a normal 2 handed swing. Backstab only occurs when you sneak and you are not detected. Also if you properly backstab it will say in the top left "sneak attack x6 damage" or something like that.
