Top Bunk is an 11 yr old thoroughbred that has earned more than $575,000 running at the track for his owners. A grass roots effort to retire him got underway at the Alex Brown Racing discussion board. The money was raised with fantastic support and Top Bunk was purchased on Saturday April 5th, 2008. Now he will begin a life of retirement and adulation by his fan club members. Congrats Top Bunk!

Top Bunk is an 11 yr old thoroughbred racehorse. He earned over $575,000 and was in the money 67% of the time. He enjoyed racing at high level claiming and allowance races. Now he's racing at the lowest levels and not finishing in the money. His friends that have been following took up a grass roots effort to raise the money to purchase him so that he may retire from racing with dignity. This video is the story of his retirement.

This slide show documents the meeting of Five Fans of Barbaro and the folks from WindChill Legacy Ltd on March 29th 2008. The contingency of FOB were there to deliver gifts of Love from all the people at Alex Brown Racing internet community.
This video is presented in Three Movements that represent my impressions of the day.
First, the meeting of the FOB and WindChills family and the support and love that we gave each other. We listened and talked and supported them with gifts from the heart of the FOB.
Next was the feeling that there is still much sadness and grieving in their hearts. I can even feel it in the other animals that are there. They know that Jeff and Kathi have suffered a great loss and are patiently and quietly trying to help them heal.
The last part is the happiness and hope that the newborn filly Layla is bringing to them now as they try to move on and move forward.
WindChill's presence IS HERE on this farm. You can see him on the sunset, in the clouds, or in the eyes of Walker or baby Layla.
The circle of life is complete
