I felt I should put something up, so here's a poem I wrote a while ago. The bit about the galaxy references two schools of thought in cosmology. Basically, no-one can quite explain the universe as it is right now. I found that interesting.

Life is a virus
An insane Cyrus
Not content with Empire
Or passing by us
Its laws define us
They free and confine us
Scatter us and line us
up like cattle.
Battle troop stand fast!
You're the very last
Of genetic masters
And memetic mistresses
Riding side-saddle.

Who here in the noosphere
Doubts that the rules here
Are anything but inviolable?
We fail, we die,
We live, we try
But everything can bend
Anything is viable.

Even galaxies, man.
You don't understand?
There are two ways out of our
predicament
One says the visible
all thirty percent
Is ringed by matter, energy
Unseen.
The other page
Says the galaxy's a stage
And beyond the curtain
Physics is a dream.

So with defiance
We embrace our science
And tell it to conquer the world.
