The music that starts at about 3:03 is a heavily remixed version of the Amazing Spiderman cartoon theme from about 1981. Same production company. Same people. It was also used in GI Joe and in the "Spiderman and his Amazing Friends" cartoon, among other.

If you look carefully, the main plot of the show including the ending is given away in the opening title. Not the only anime to spoil the surprise -if you are paying attention.

Episode also notable because they use Perios' signature theme song several times. A really great theme. He should have been introduced MUCH earlier in the series. The writing and design work generally got a lot better once there was an actual fixed protagonist.

@casersbest247 The song is "Ocean Motion" by a company called Freeplay Music. You can find it on their website on the album called TV Themes vol. 1.

@lennyos National Geographic Explorer did an episode on this implosion, however it was long, long ago when NGEX was still on -and only on- WTBS. The NatGeo channel still runs a show called Explorer but it is not the same show and they never run those old early episodes.
