In Spring 2010, 20 students on the Japan Campus of Temple University have been working with independent hip hop artist Legrand from Philadelphia to design and launch his online presence in the virtual world of Second-Life.
From the graphic design of Legrand's 3D avatar to his branding, promotion and set up of audio technology: everything is done by students.
This is a unprecedented experiment in digital marketing.

As a result of the project, we're proud to launch a music video for Legrand's new single, Virtual Love. The video has been shot entirely in machinima, in one single shot. It took 3 months to produce. It's like Ok-Go meeting Kanye West on chatroulette, and a dozen of other things we're not exactly sure what they're about.

We've never seen anything like it. Probably, neither have you. And we hope you like it.

John Foster and his students in electronic commerce at BCIT in Vancouver have been passed the torch from JJ to promote the Virtual Love video.

We trying to test a few ideas and theories about how some videos go viral and build an audience.
