@67tr876 yeah I know dvd´s already exist in 1999 but they weren´t used by everyone then. dvd became house - hold in 2002 i think. I was just born in 1992 but i think cd´s became household in the 90s

in terms of technology 1976 - 2001 was the VHS (video home system) era. (declining in 1999 - 2001 ) then 2002 - 2007 were the golden years for the DVD. (declining since 2009) . and the current Blu-ray era started in 2007 and will probably end in a few years.
