with these motors, the problem isn't getting the revs to 11000 (it really isnt that much work guys!) its making enough torque at those high RPMs to really squeeze the horsepower out (TQ X RPM = HP!) you really have to mess with the cam timing and get the right cams to squeeze the TQ out high RPMs...
@fifafan1 i would have to agree with you that the 90's civics are much faster (and easier to make faster) but you have to realize that every year they have to add new safety features, more emission regulations and still make it a good car that people are going to want to buy.
@coltonwithano ill bet if you took the money that it would cost for delivery, options and everything for a Ford GT, and instead put it towards a proper civic build, it would scrape a GT.
definitely not getting on the brakes hard enough. slowly roll into the brakes so the weight transfers forward. makes turning easier with load on the front wheels too. amazing car. looks like not all honda owners are dyno queens afterall!
